Periodontal Therapy is a specialized clinical intervention aimed at managing periodontal disease (gum disease). Our focus is on targeted deep cleanings (Scaling and Root Planing) to remove pathogenic biofilm and calculus from below the gum line. This therapy is critical to halting bone loss and ensuring long-term oral stability.

The procedure involves the meticulous removal of plaque and tartar from the periodontal pockets. By smoothing the root surfaces (root planing), we eliminate bacterial toxins and encourage the gingival tissue to re-attach to the tooth, reducing pocket depth and inflammation.
We perform detailed periodontal probing to measure pocket depths and evaluate bone levels via digital radiographs. Local anesthesia is often used to ensure comfort during deep instrumentation.
Our clinicians use ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments to debride the root surfaces. In some cases, localized antimicrobial agents are applied directly into the pockets to reduce bacterial load.
Minor gingival tenderness and sensitivity to cold are common for 48 hours. We prescribe specialized home-care rinses and typically schedule a follow-up "re-evaluation" in 4–6 weeks to monitor healing and tissue response.
